Celebrate Dia de los Muertos at the Speed with La Casita Center and the University of Louisville’s Cultural Center for a day celebrating and uplifting the many traditions of Dia de Los Muertos. There will be dancing, art making and many culturally specific way to celebrate together.

Programming for the day

12 pm | Spirits Unveiled: A Black American Art History Tour

12:30 pm | Las Catrinas procession from the U of L Cultural Center to the Speed Art Museum

1:30 – 3:30 pm | Dancing by Las Catrinas and Las Semillitas, storytelling and information about Dia de los Muertos, and more

1-3:30 pm | Face Painting

1 – 4 pm | Art-Making

1- 4 pm | Community Altar
