After Hours at the Speed is HERE! Plan your date night with us as we turn the Museum into “A Night in Paris” to coincide with our latest exhibition, Alphonse Mucha: Art Nouveau Visionary. Here is the schedule for the evening.
- 5 – 8 PM | Art-making: DIY Perfume bottles
- Throughout the night: Grab your buddy and challenge them to a parlor game in our English Renaissance room. Games include chess, checkers, tic tac toe, and more!
- 5:30 – 7:30 PM | La Petite Musique will perform international accordion selections of swing and cabaret with vocals.
- 5:45 PM | Tour of Alphonse Mucha: Art Nouveau Visionary with Curator Kim Spence
- 6 PM| A Screening of Utama in the Speed Cinema. After the screening will be a CINEMA+ discussion with Dr. Karl Swinehart, Associate Professor, Comparative Humanities (Linguistics), and Director of Graduate Studies, at the University of Louisville about the film’s theme and messaging. Tickets sold separately
- 6 – 8 PM | Rivertown Photobooth will have a 360-degree photobooth available for After Hours guests.
- 6:15 – 7 PM | Reading and Q&A with Author Kevin Gibson, This Used to be Louisville
- 8 – 10 PM| DJ Always will provide end-of-the-night vibes in the Atrium
Every third Friday, the Museum will once again be open until 10 pm. Each After Hours event comes alive with an eclectic mix of music, performances, cash bar + food available by Wiltshire at the Speed, and of course art! Come experience the Speed “after hours” as you’ve never experienced it before. More details coming soon!
