Thanks to a generous contribution from Brown-Forman, general admission is FREE for all on Sundays through 2026. The free Sunday admission is named in honor of the late Owsley Brown II.

Speed Cinema entrance update: Our South Cinema entrance has reopened for all Cinema guests! Follow the Speed Cinema signs while exiting the Museum garage to the entrance while enjoying a small part of the Art Park that is now open.

Directions + Parking
Directions
From I-65, take exit 133 toward U.S 60/Eastern Parkway. Turn left onto Warnock Street, then turn left onto Arthur Street. Turn right onto Eastern Parkway, then turn right onto South Third Street. The Speed Art Museum and parking garage will be on your right.
Parking
Hourly parking is available in the parking garage adjacent to the Speed on South Third Street. On-street metered parking is also available. Operating hours for meters are Monday – Saturday, 7 am to 6 pm. Parking at metered spaces is free after 6 pm and all day Sunday.
The Speed Art Museum is reimagining the pedestrian plazas surrounding the Museum. Construction is expected to occur in several phases. Phase 1 began in April 2023. Pedestrian and vehicular access will be altered during all phases of construction, and signage will be posted in the area. Please allow yourself extra time for your arrival. Visitor parking is still available in the Speed Art Museum Garage.
Public Transit
You can get to the Speed using Lou Lift, free transportation throughout downtown and Old Louisville. Find out more about Lou Lift.
The Speed is also accessible by TARC, Louisville’s public bus system. Routes 2 (Second Street) and 94 (Cardinal Shuttle) will stop at the Speed, while Routes 4 (Fourth Street) and 29 (Eastern Parkway) stop within blocks of the Museum. View a map of public transportation options near the Speed.

Visit ridetarc.org to plan your trip. Each TARC bus can accommodate two bicycles, and bike racks are available at the Speed’s Third Street entrance.
