The Speed Art Museum offers a range of professional development
sessions designed to meet the needs of a variety of teachers.

Curriculum Consultations
Education staff members are available to meet with individual
teachers or planning teams to develop ways that the museum can
be used as an educational resource. Please have several dates

Traveling
Cultural Suitcases
Our traveling cultural suitcases bring the museum into your classroom
and extend the museum experience. We offer three suitcase topics
for classroom use:

Rome: Objects Inspired by Ancient Pompeii
- Native
American: People of the Plains
- West
Africa: Objects from Africa

Painting Traditions
Each suitcase contains artifacts, gloves for handling the artifacts,
as well as books, audiotapes, videotapes and various other resources.
The cost of renting a suitcase is $35.00 for a two-week rental
and $45 for Painting Traditions. Suitcases to be shipped require
an additional fee.
