art spanning 6,000 years, its diverse and exciting education

For the first time ever, the Speed has created a limited edition
poster series. Each
year we will release one poster that is only available by joining or renewing
your Individual level or higher membership to the Speed.
This first
year’s poster is based on one of the most popular paintings
in the Speed’s collection. William Mason Brown’s
Raspberries is not only beautiful and lush but it has delighted
visitors for years.

The museum's legacy of philanthropy dates to its founding when
Mrs. Hattie Bishop Speed gave her art collection and the funds
to build the museum to honor her husband James Breckinridge Speed.
